Biography

1993-2024=

Korzhov in 1993 graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute. S.M. Kirov with a degree in Economics and Management in Metallurgy. In 2002, he received an additional education at the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation with a degree in General Management. He has a Ph.D. in Economics.

In 1993-1995, Korzhov worked in various positions at the Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant. Then he moved to the post of Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance of Nikomremstroy OJSC. In 1997-1998 he was the executive director of Nikomremstroy OJSC (a subsidiary of NTMK OJSC). After that, he acted as deputy chief, then - head of the economic department of NTMK. In 2005, Korzhov began his career at Mechel, heading the company's planning and economic department. In 2009-2011, he served as vice president for business planning and analysis, and later as senior vice president for economics and business development of Mechel OJSC. He was appointed CEO of this company in January 2014.

2025: Appointment as CEO of the largest polymer pipe manufacturer in Russia "Polyplastic"

On November 5, 2025, Oleg Korzhov was appointed to the post of general director of the largest polymer pipe manufacturer in Russia, Polyplastic. Previously, he headed the Mechel company, which is one of the leading coal producers on the Russian market.

Oleg Korzhov has many years of experience in managing industrial companies and projects at the national level. His professional expertise will strengthen the management team and increase the efficiency of the group in the context of the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and production programs, - noted in the message "Polyplasty."[1]
