2021: Appointment as Twitter chief

In November 2021, Parag Agrawal was appointed CEO of Twitter. Before being appointed to this position, he worked for the company for 10 years, since 2017 he served as technical director.

2022

Maternity leave

In mid-February 2022, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal took parental leave. It comes three months after his appointment as CEO.

Parag Agrawal, 37, was appointed head of Twitter after Jack Dorsey stepped down from the role on November 29, 2021.

She added that the decision was "personal" and that the company had developed a "customized" program that includes up to 20 weeks of "flexible" leave.

Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian backed Agrawal and suggested he take his time returning to work.

The US is among the least generous countries in the world in terms of parental leave and maternity pay. Although some cities and states provide paid parental leave, there is no paid leave plan for mothers and fathers at the federal level.

In 2015 and 2017 Mark Zuckerberg , he took two months of parental leave after the birth of his daughters. Pete Buttigieg, the US secretary transport , also took paternity leave with his husband in the fall of 2021.[1]

Twitter firing over company sale to Elon Musk

In October 2022 Elon Musk , he closed the acquisition for Twitter 44 billion dollars and headed the company.

As management of the social network passed to Musk, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and CFO Ned Segal left the company's management, according to the Financial Times.
