2023: Seizure of property worth 12.5 billion rubles
In early September 2023, the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal on Wednesday upheld the ruling of the Moscow Arbitration Court, which earlier, at the request of the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA), arrested the property of the former chairmen of the board of Moscow Interprombank Pavel Shmarov and Vasily Zipukho, as well as Acting Chairman of the Board Maria Kadulina in the amount of 12.5 billion rubles each.
According to Interfax, citing the court's file cabinet, Rosregistration is prohibited from carrying out any registration actions related to the alienation and/or encumbrance of the property of three debtors. The security measures were taken as part of the agency's claim to bring the persons previously controlling Interprombank to subsidiary liability. The amount of potential subsidiary liability is 12.4 billion rubles.
On June 9, 2023, the bankruptcy trustee of Interprombank - DIA - filed an application with the Moscow Arbitration Court to bring the persons controlling the bank to subsidiary liability. Dmitry Mazurov, Pavel Shmarov, Vasily Zipukho and Maria Kadulina, as the manager notes, did not take any action to prevent the bank's bankruptcy, although there were grounds for this. As a result, it is impossible to fully repay the requirements of Interprombank. The amount of potential subsidiary liability is 12.4 billion rubles, the DIA reported.
Interprombank lost its license in the spring of 2021. At that time, he occupied 151st place in the banking system of the Russian Federation. According to the Central Bank, the bank artificially overestimated its financial indicators and made transactions with non-core assets in order to artificially improve the indicators and hide the real financial situation. And in June 2021, the court registered the application of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the bankruptcy of Interprombank.[1]
