2025: International wanted list in $139 million oil theft case
The National Police of Ukraine put on the international wanted list the ex-head of Ukrtatnafta Pavel Ovcharenko, who is accused in a case related to the theft of 5.8 billion hryvnia (more than $139 million) from the company. In November 2024, Ovcharenko was charged by e-mail with creating an organized group that took possession of Ukrtatnafta oil products for the specified amount through shell companies. This was announced in May 2025 by the press service of the department.[1]
