2024: Appointment as Chairman of the Board of the Skolkovo Foundation

On April 12, 2024, it was announced the appointment of Sergei Perov as the new chairman of the board of the Skolkovo Foundation. He replaced Igor Drozdov, who has held this position since 2016.

Previously, Sergey Perov served as First Deputy Head of the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow. The Skolkovo Foundation noted that the integration of the Moscow Government into the management of the Skolkovo Innovation Center will allow developing the center's territory and infrastructure according to Moscow standards for the quality of the urban environment.

On April 12, 2024, the Skolkovo Foundation reported that Igor Drozdov would oversee the block of innovative development institutions and work to strengthen their coordination and seamless interaction. Drozdov will also take the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Skolkovo Foundation.

According to a Vedomosti source close to ВЭБ.РФ, Igor Drozdov in the state corporation will oversee the innovative agenda, in particular, such institutions as the Russian Fund for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT), the Infrastructure and Educational Programs Fund (FIOP), the Innovation Promotion Fund, etc.

Drozdov has competencies in the innovative agenda and an understanding of how technology startups work. VEB just lacked such a top manager, - added the source of the newspaper.[1]
