Biography

Alexey was born in the city of Rostov-on-Don.

Education

Graduated from the Don State Technical university majoring in Computer security.

Career

Since 2011 Alexey Petunin works in SAP. It began the work in the company as the regional representative in the Southern Federal District then worked as the sales manager of department of medium and small business of SAP CIS.

Since 2013 Alexey directed this department, being responsible for work with the companies from the industry of consumer goods, wholesale, transport and also the construction industry.

Alexey Petunin is appointed on April 1, 2017 to the position of the director of SAP CIS of work with partners, medium and small business.

2020: The chief executive of SAP CIS since January 1, 2021

Since January 1, 2021 Alexey Petunin will become the chief executive of SAP CIS. It will replace at this position of Dmitry Krasyukov. The company reported about it on November 10, 2020.

Alexey Petunin joined SAP 9 years ago, having passed a way from the regional representative to the managing director for work with partners and the high-growth companies in Russia and the CIS to which became in January, 2020. At this position he was responsible for customer acquisition from a segment of the high-growth companies and also for development of partners and their involvement in business generation process.

Alexey has a wide experience on sales and deep examination in the field of high technologies. For years of work in the company he participated in closing of a large number of sign transactions, considerably expanded a partner ecosystem and attracted many clients.

Dmitry Krasyukov since January 1, 2021 will continue the career in a position of Chief Digital Officer. Its tasks will include further development of SAP CIS as the innovation digital player, implementation of cloud strategy, development of a portfolio of sloud-solutions in the Russian data center of SAP, certification and formation of a digital ecosystem in general.

Alexander Metechko who was earlier holding a position of the partnership director will become the managing director for work with partners and the high-growth companies in Russia and the CIS. Alexander has more than 15 years of experience with partners and customers on executive positions in the field of IT which he received in such companies as IBM, Microsoft and Softline.

In 2020 we had more calls, than ever. The world strongly changed and to remain effective, we should change in reply. SAP actively develops cloud infrastructure, looks for other ways of business to help our clients to transform the business processes and to be steady against any crises. It is sure that rich experience of Alexey on work with a segment of the high-growth companies, his leadership skills will open SAP even more opportunities for business development in Russia and the CIS.
