Pleskonos Dmitry Anatolyevich
Dmitry Pleskonos was born in Klimovsk situated near Moscow in family of military. Long lived with parents in Georgia, graduated from school in Ukraine. In 1986 it with honors graduated from the Kiev highest engineering radio engineering school of air defense, and in 1993 — Military and diplomatic academy.
Dmitry is a hereditary military (more than 300 years all men in family were at war and served). For this reason the decision on withdrawal from armed forces after 11 years of service considers the most serious in the life.
Having come to work to Mars Inc company to a position of the sales representative in 1993, he started the career "with a clean slate". Dmitry went all steps of a career ladder in the field of sales to Mars Inc: was the sales representative, the area manager, the divisional director, the director of work with national clients and the sales development director in Russia and the CIS countries.
After transition in from Mars in VimpelCom of the CEO of Vimpelcom Alexander Izosimov it was followed also by Dmitry Pleskonos. In 2004 Dmitry came to JSC VimpelCom to a position of the Sales director. In one and a half years of work in the company Dmitry successfully adapted and implemented experience of sales of the leading western companies.
During 2006 Dmitry successfully headed transactions of the company in one of the most difficult and profitable regions — Moscow. Under the leadership of Dmitry the command of the Moscow region achieved excellent results both in involvement of new clients, and in increase in loyalty of existing. At the end of 2006 Dmitry gets the award "Career of Year" "For a stable relation in Moscow".
In January, 2007 Dmitry Pleskonos entered in board members of VimpelCom.
From May, 2007 to October, 2009 Dmitry headed transactions of the company in the CIS countries. Under its management business Beeline in the CIS considerably grew, having shown strong financial and operational indicators. Dmitry was responsible for a brand output Beeline in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, start 3G in Armenia and Uzbekistan, integration with Golden Telecom in the CIS countries and many other projects, significant for the company.
"Dmitry created that Vimpelcom which we know: the company representing really mass service for millions of consumers across all Russia", - Izosimov said.
In February, 2011 Dmitry left Vimpelcom. The company explained that Pleskonos leaves at own will as he decided to be engaged in the projects. According to one of minority shareholders of Vimpelcom, the decision on Pleskonos's resignation was made by shareholders in view of failures in the house market of the company. "However, case should not be limited to Pleskonos's leaving - problems of the company much higher", - the interlocutor of CNews considers.
With this opinion also the expert of CNews Analytics Alexander Moroshkin is solidary. 'If in the next month Pleskonos emerges" somewhere, so he understood that will try to make the switchman of it, and decided to leave in time, - Moroshkin says. - If is not present, so the decision on his resignation was made by the management of Vimpelcom which needed to find guilty of failures of the company'.
Since August 1, 2013 Dmitry Pleskonos is appointed the board member of QIWI plc as the independent director and the member of the committee on audit. Mr. Pleskonos has more than twenty-year work experience in the international companies. Mr. Pleskonos since August, 2012 is a Member of the Supervisory Board of private joint-stock company "KONTI production association" - one of the largest Ukrainian producers of confectionery. In connection therewith appointment, the Board of Directors of the Company since August 1, 2013 will consist of 10 participants, two of whom are independent. The Committee on Audit of the company consists of three people, two of whom are independent directors.
Family
Dmitry is married, has three children. In free time plays sports, hunting and fishing. Is fond of numismatics.
