Head of the Board of Directors of the FCBS
Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Vasily Pozdyshev leaves his post: he will move to the managing company of the Banking Sector Consolidation Fund (FCBS), where he will head the board of directors. In December 2019, Bank of Russia Chairman Elvira Nabiullina announced this to reporters.
The reshuffle will occur in early 2020. The Central Bank is completing the active stage of clearing the banking sector and will now concentrate on the sale of rehabilitated banks, explained Nabiullina's decision. At the FCBS, Pozdyshev was engaged in monitoring the operational management of banks sanitized by the Central Bank, organizing their sale, as well as preparing claims against former owners and organizing the asset recovery process.
Transfer to the position of Advisor to the Bank for International Settlements
In July 2020, it became known that Vasily Pozdyshev was leaving his post at the FKBS Criminal Code. He is moving to the post of senior adviser on financial recovery and crisis management of the Bank for International Settlements, headquartered in Basel. He received French citizenship and lives in his home in Nice.
Mr. Pozdyshev also leaves the boards of directors of the Asia-Pacific Bank, the Moscow Industrial Bank and the Deposit Insurance Agency.
