Biography

Mikhail Rogachev was born in 1960.

Education

He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys with a degree in metallurgical engineering in 1982, after which he defended his thesis. In 1994-1995 he worked as a senior researcher at the same educational institution. In 2003-2004 he received additional education at the London School of Business.

1996-2015

From 1996 to 2007, Rogachev held various senior positions in Yukos, and in 2008 he moved to work in the Onexim group of Mikhail Prokhorov. Then he took the post of Deputy General Director of the Norilsk Nickel mining and metallurgical company. From 2011 to 2015, Rogachev was the head of the Russian Fund for Technological Development.
