Biography
Was born on October 31, 1956 in Moscow, Russia.
1980 - graduated from the 1st Medical institute majoring in "Medical case".
1982-1983 - ended the High courses of KGB of the USSR in Minsk.
2004 - Candidate of Law Sciences.
Defended the dissertation on the subject "Criminal Liability for Disclosure of Data on the Security Measures Applied concerning the Judge and Participants of Criminal Proceedings"[2].
Career
For 1980-1982 - worked with the associate officer in scientific research institute of forensic medicine (worked at first as the surgeon, then - the pathologist; was a trainee of the duty expert in Moscow criminal investigation department)[3].
- worked with 1988-1989 in the Fifth management of KGB of the USSR on fight against organized crime.
Since 1992 - worked in Department of Internal Security of Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
2000 - the first deputy head of department of own security of FSB of Russia.
May, 2001 - the chief of Head department, and then Department of own security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
July, 2005 - the director of Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs [4].
2005 - 2012 - the Director of the Federal Migration Service.
Since August 2, 2012 - the head of Federal Migration Service[5].
Konstantin Romodanovsky: about fight against illegal migration
In 2013 the rank of the federal minister is appropriated. On April 5, 2016 the Federal Migration Service is abolished by the Decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, and its functions and powers are delegated to Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Konstantin Romodanovsky did not pass to service into new department.
Awards, titles, certificates
It is awarded with an order "For Merit to the Fatherland" 4th Class, the Courage award, an Order of Honour, a medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the II degree.
5/14/2005 – the Rank of the Honourable citizen of Tver for a big contribution to development of hockey sport, promotion of a healthy lifestyle among youth and the charitable help of the city of Tver to educational institutions[6] is given[6].

2007 – the rank of the General militia colonel in a stock is given.
Charity
Assists in recovery of the monastery in the Central Russia where are buried fifteen family members Romodanovsky, including nine princes[7].
Hobbies
Actively is fond of sport: once was engaged in professional swimming, now plays water polo, is more often - in soccer and hockey[8].
Marital Status
He is married (the third defects), three sons[9].
