According to TASS, in addition to Rudnitskaya, two more people were arrested - an entrepreneur from the Moscow region, as well as a woman whose child could be sold to another family. Another person involved is the head of one of the private medical clinics in Shchelkov near Moscow.
Rudnitskaya is accused of committing a crime under Art. 127.1 of the Criminal Code - trafficking in children. Such acts are punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 15 years. It follows from the documents that the woman has 12 children aged 3 to 17 years dependent. The defense asked the court "for the sake of the children" to choose a preventive measure for the defendant, not related to isolation from society, but the prosecutor's office insisted on arrest. Rudnitskaya's lawyer announced plans to appeal the court decision. At the same time, she herself fully admitted guilt.
