Salakhutdinov Vladimir Nailevich

Education

In 1998, he became a graduate of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (technical university) with a degree in applied mathematics.

In 1999 he graduated from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation with a degree in finance and credit. In 2006, he received an Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, USA.

Career

1997-2002

In 1997, Vladimir Salakhutdinov began working as an economist in the closed joint stock company Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange. Over time, he was appointed head of the bidding organization department, holding this post until 2002. In 2002, Vladimir Salakhutdinov got a job Western Union in the manager of state work with bodies and risk management in the Eastern To Europe and CIS. In 2007, he became Executive Director of Western Union DP East, a non-banking credit institution responsible for the operation and development of Western Union's business in the Russian Federation.

2009-2019

From 2009 to 2011 he was President for Eastern Europe at the Net1 Group. In 2011-2014, he was Chairman of the Management Board of American Express Bank LLC and head of American Express in Russia.

From January 2014 to April 2019, Vladimir Salakhutdinov was Deputy General Director, Deputy General Director for Financial Business of FSUE Russian Post. During his work, he implemented a project to create Post Bank, becoming a member of its supervisory board. Also, he was a member of the Board of Trustees of JSC NPF VTB.

Since May 2019, Vladimir Salakhutdinov is a member of the Board, Director for Strategic Development of Kh5 Retail Group.

2023: Appointment as Head of Crossroads

In early October 2023, Vladimir Salakhutdinov was appointed head of the Perekrestok chain of stores. Andrei Kalmykov, who previously held the post of general director of this company, quit to take up his own projects.^[1]
