2024: Appointment as CEO of Atos
On January 15, 2024, the French IT group Atos announced changes to the leadership team. Paul Saleh was appointed to the post of CEO, who had previously acted as financial director of the holding. The changes take effect immediately.
Saleh will be replaced as CEO of Atos by Yves Bernaert, who took up this position in October 2023. It is noted that Bernard leaves the company after an "intensive period of transformation." From October 2021 to 2023, the Atos group was also led by Nourdine Bihmane and Rodolphe Belmer. Thus, within about two years, Atos had to change four CEOs. This is happening against the background of the group's attempts to reduce debts and get rid of unprofitable assets, including the Tech Foundations division, which provides infrastructure management services.
Saleh, who previously headed Gainwell Technologies and held senior positions at the Walt Disney Company, will focus on refinancing Atos' debts, the holding said in a Atos. He will also have to continue negotiations to sell Tech Foundations. Saleh will work closely with Carlo d'Asaro Biondo, the chief manager of the group, who is responsible for business operations, commercial development, partnerships, etc.
As part of the changes, Jacques-Francois de Prest (Jacques- François de Prest) is appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer of Atos, who is transferring to the company from Mobivia. Prior to that, he worked in the telecommunications industry for more than 20 years, holding senior financial positions at Vodafone and Millicom. He begins his duties at Atos on January 29, 2024[1]
