Inna Shalyto graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications in 2005. Prof. M.A. Bonch-Bruevich with a degree in Regional Studies.
Career
2013-2014
In 2013-2014 worked as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy and Innovation of St. Petersburg. During the work, she created the Center for Cluster Development of St. Petersburg, organized a number of major international forums.
2014-2016
In 2014-2016, Inna Shalyto served as Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg, implementing an unprecedented information campaign to promote St. Petersburg in the Russian and foreign markets. Also in this position was engaged in the development of new tourist packages; created the Congress and Exhibition Bureau of St. Petersburg.
2022: Appointment as head of Roskino
At the end of April 2022, it was announced the appointment of Inna Shalyto as the new general director of Roskino. In this post, she replaced Evgenia Markova, who will join the board of directors of the state organization.
Shalyto will continue to develop key areas of the organization's activities: promoting cinema, animation and TV series from Russian film companies in international markets, educational initiatives, increasing the recognition of Russian talents abroad, cooperation with international industrial players.
Now the industry faces new challenges, and the main task at Roskino for me will be to strengthen partnership with new macro-regions - large content distribution markets in Asia and Latin America, where cinema, animation and TV shows from leading Russian producers have already had local success, which we now have to scale - said Shalyto. |
Roskino is a state-owned organization that promotes the Russian film industry in international markets and organizes Russian film festivals abroad, including the Russian Film Festival, and events in the Russian Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival.[1]
2023: Resignation as CEO of Roskino
Inna Shalyto left the post of general director of Roskino. First Deputy General Director Ekaterina Naumova has been appointed Acting General Director. This was announced on March 23, 2023 by representatives of Roskino
The reason for the change of the general director of Roskino was not disclosed. The organization only told RIA Novosti that Inna Shalyto left the post of general director for personal reasons.[2]
