2020: Beating because of professional activity

On October 5, 2020 it became known of attack on the Minister of Health of Chuvashia Vladimir Stepanov. the 23-year-old resident of Cheboksary hit it with a wrench, reported in regional government of Investigative Committee.

An assault was committed in the afternoon on October 3, 2020, and the discontent with one of the decisions made by Vladimir Stepanov became a reason for it as found out law enforcement agencies. About what solution there is a speech, it is not specified.

The man waited for the official at an exit from the Government house then right there snatched on it and struck three blows with a wrench. The government employee managed to expose a hand and by that avoided serious injuries – he got off with grazes. Hospitalization was not required to the minister.

According to preliminary data the investigations the person who attacked the Minister of Health has a mental disease. By October 5, 2020 the complex of the investigative and other legal proceedings directed to establishment of all circumstances of the event is conducted, necessary judicial examinations are appointed, the issue of election to the suspect of a measure of restraint is resolved.

The proceeding decision on criminal proceedings is recognized by the prosecutor legal and reasonable, reports Investigation department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation across the Chuvash Republic.

Against the Chuvash Ministry of Health which attacked the head opened criminal case under Part 1 of Article 318 of UK (use of violence against a representative of the authority). Threatens it up to five years of prison.

Vladimir Stepanov was appointed the Minister of Health of the Chuvash Republic on March 20, 2020. He works in the medical sphere since 2007. In due time he was the deputy chief physician in Republican children's clinical hospital of the Ministry of Health of Chuvashia and also the chief physician of the Novocheboksarsk medical center.^[1]
