From 1985 to 1990 studied at Lomonosov Moscow State University on economics department. From 1990 to 1993 was the graduate student of Institute of world economy and the international relations of Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Has degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences. Is professor of Bank institute of Higher School of Economics.
Biography
1993-2016: Work in the Central Bank of the Russian Federation
Mikhail Sukhov began to work in the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in 1993. From 2012 to 2016 he held a post of the vice-chairman of the Bank of Russia, supervising supervision of systemically significant banks, development of measures for increase in their stability and the banking sector in general, licensing and financial improvement.
2016-2018: Work in VTB
In 2016 Mikhail Sukhov Sukhov passed to the vice president's position — the chairman of the board of PJSC VTB Bank where worked till 2018.
2020: Appointment as the CEO of ACRA rating agency
On April 28, 2020 the ACRA rating agency appointed Mikhail Sukhov to the position of the CEO instead of Maxim Bogdashkin who directed the company since the end of 2019.
The enormous experience of Mikhail Sukhov with national regulatory structures and the largest financial institutions will help to reach AKRA new qualitative level — the chairman of the board of directors of the agency Carle Johansson said. |
According to Sukhov, "building of a client portfolio, expansion of a covering examination on credit risk of new sectors and development of not rating services" will become his main objectives as the head of AKRA. The labor contract with Sukhov is signed for five years.
ACRE was the first Russian agency which was accredited by the Central Bank. Shareholders of AKRA are 27 Russian companies and financial institutions with shares of 3.7% at everyone (as of the end of April, 2020). Authorized capital of the company is 3 billion rubles.
