2024: The investigation of the criminal case of extortion of 42.5 million rubles from Lanit has been completed

The investigation believes that Sanin and Savinsky, who is married to Polyakov's sister, were engaged in cashing out the money received. The participants in the process themselves do not admit guilt. They declare that only one publication is mentioned in the materials of the criminal case, which was posted on the Nezygar Telegram channel in November 2021. It dealt with the relationship between Lanit and the tax authorities. The defendants claim that the Telegram channel actually repost the article, which was published in the Versiya newspaper on November 15, 2021 under the heading "You are getting away, and I am catching up." Moreover, this message was removed from the Nezygar Telegram channel just nine minutes after publication - in accordance with the Lanita request. Data on other publications in the case file are said to be missing.

Lawyers for the accused insist that the criminal case was investigated by the Main Directorate of the Metropolitan Police illegally. The defense claims that at the time of the events under consideration, Polyakov was an acting FSB officer, in connection with which his case should have been conducted by military investigators of the TFR. At the same time, Polyakov categorically denies negotiations with representatives of Lanit regarding the installation of the "block on negative." The defendants in the process and their lawyers must familiarize themselves with the case materials until October 13, 2024, after which it will be approved by the prosecutor's office, and then to the court.[1]
