Biography
Gegham Vardanyan graduated from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science Rossiysko-Armenian (Slavic) University.
Gegham Vardanyan led the business development direction of the leading Armenian company YEA Engineering, which provides products and services for complex engineering solutions in various industries.
For more than ten years, Gegham held leadership positions at National Instruments. This is one of the world leaders in the development of hardware and software for automated testing and modeling systems.
He served as Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Armenia.
Recently, Gegham Vardanyan worked as Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia.
2020: Appointment of ECE Minister for Domestic Markets, Information and ICT
On January 31, 2020, TAdviser became known that from February 1, 2020, the newly appointed member of the Board (Minister) for Internal Markets, Informatization and Information and Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Gegham Levonovich Vardanyan will begin work. The decision to appoint this representative of the Republic of Armenia was made by the leaders of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on December 20, 2019 at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg.
Gegham Vardanyan will replace Karine Minasyan in this position.
The appointed Minister of the EEC has experience in public administration.

2021: Resignation as Minister for Domestic Markets, Informatization and ICT of the ECE
On November 24, 2021, it became known that Gegham Vardanyan resigned as Minister for Internal Markets, Informatization and ICT of the EEC of his own free will.
