2023: Death by heart attack

On November 27, 2023, Sberbank announced the death of Nikolai Vasev, who, as senior vice president of the credit institution, headed the B2C Customer Experience Development block. In particular, he oversaw the development of the Domklik real estate sale and rental service.

Nikolai Vasev worked at Sberbank for more than 12 years and actually built the vertical of the mortgage product segment: under his leadership, for seven years, IT startup Domklik became the leader of the mortgage market with a multibillion-dollar turnover, a digital mortgage processing service "Transaction Factory" was created, the process of buying real estate and subsequent mortgage support up to one visit to the bank were simplified, effective interaction with developers and real estate agencies throughout Russia was established, - said on the website "Sberbank."

According to the preliminary conclusion of the doctors, the cause of death was a heart attack. The banker was 42 years old. After being appointed to the post of head of the B2C Customer Experience Development block, Vasev was engaged in changing the business model to a customer-centric one.
