Biography

Vladimir Borisovich Zhelonkin was born on January 23, 1967 in Leningrad, graduated from the Leningrad Civil Engineering Institute and the University of Knowledge Methodology in Moscow.

In the 1990s, Zhelonkin worked as an engineer in the commercial department of the East European Advertising Agency, deputy head of the investment department of the Northern Trade Bank, head of the currency department of Mezhprombank, again deputy general director, but already in a commercial and industrial house, then he returned to Mezhprombank, where he became director of the department for operational work, replaced the manager, and then became the head of the staff of the chairman of the board of directors.

In 1999, Zhelonkin left the banking system and became the general director of the Russian Orthodox Church, a year later he joined the organizing committee of the Orthodox Press Congress.

At the beginning of the 2000s, he managed to be chairman of the Board of Directors of 3 Channel OJSC and general director of Moskovia TRVK OJSC. However, in 2004, Zhelonkin again returned to Mezhprombank to the board of directors.

In 2006, Zhelonkin - Deputy General Director of Svyazinvest OJSC, in 2009 - General Director of AF Telecom Holding LLC.

In 2010, Zhelonkin ended up in the main department of educational work of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, headed the Zvezda media group, and then was deputy presidential envoy to the Central Federal District.

In the spring of 2016, the General Director of the Kommersant publishing house, Komarova Maria, resigned, her position was taken by the chairman of the board of directors of the publishing house, Vladimir Zhelonkin.
