Voynov Semyon

Semyon Voynov is the art director of the company of ZeptoLab and one of creators of "Cut the Rope" - very popular game on the IOS platform. Semyon is the artist of digital graphics specializing in games for mobile phones, iPhones, the PC and also social games.

Semyon was born in Russia, in Moscow. Creation of games interested Semyon since the childhood, since those times when it had its first computer - ZX Spectrum.

In 2004 it graduated from Moscow Administrative Road Inspectorate (The Moscow automobile and road state technical university), having received degree of the master of industrial design. In student's years they together with the brother Efim worked on games on the IOS platform in the small company MuddyGlass.

From 2003 to 2011 participated in more than 35 projects, most often on the leading positions.

Semyon spent 3 years in Finland, working in Digital Chocolate Inc. art director. Before he worked at the Moscow office of Reaxion Corp company. too as the art director, creating graphics and promo-materials for the games intended for mobile phones.

Semyon spoke at the Conference of developers of games in 2006 in Moscow. His performance was devoted to creation of games for mobile devices.

Besides, in 2009 in Helsinkakh he addressed students of the Tampersky polytechnical university with the presentation about art of creation of games for mobile phones.

The first game which Semyon and his brother Efim made in the ZeptoLab company founded by them for App Store was called Parachute Ninja — it the paid application was downloaded by 300,000 times. The second game, Cut the Rope, entered the market using the large publisher of Chilingo advancing the well-known Angry Birds. For the first 10 days of Cut the Rope downloaded 1 million times, and by February, 2011 it dispersed already 6 million copies and collected not less than $6 million.
