Biography
Joe Watt joined the Australian EY practice in 1989, and five years later moved to Russia. Here he worked for 12 years, including as a managing partner of audit practice in the CIS countries, and played a leading role in the development of the entire company's practice.
He worked in Indonesia for six years, including as a managing partner. He also led client projects in Australia. The company notes that Joe Watt "has proven himself to be excellent in the provision of services to customers in the markets of dynamically developing countries."
In January 2014, Joe Watt was appointed President and Chairman of the CIS Board of EY. The company expects that in this position he will be able to strengthen the company's leading role in this region and offer market participants an expanded range of services.
In this post, Watt replaced Karl Johansson, who had long led the company's practice in the CIS countries. The latter left the position in connection with his retirement, TAdviser explained to EY.
