2024: Knife attack by daughter
In mid-September 2024, it became known that the police of the Japanese prefecture of Shizuoka arrested 33-year-old Hana Hidaka, the daughter of Yamaha Motor Company President Yoshihiro Hidaki. She is suspected of assaulting her father with a knife.
The incident occurred at about three in the morning on September 16, 2024 at the family home in the city of Iwata. Hana called the police herself, claiming her father had hit her. Allegedly, in this regard, the woman had to defend herself, and she took up the knife. At the same time, 61-year-old Yoshihiro Hidaka said that his daughter attacked him with a knife while he was sleeping. The man received a cut on his left hand, nothing threatens his life.
Khan was reportedly arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. It is noted that the woman does not work anywhere and lives with her parents. Yamaha Motor said it would refrain from commenting as "this is a private matter" and "the investigation is ongoing."
Yoshihiro Hidaka joined Yamaha Motor in 1978. In 2010, he took the post of vice president of the American direction of Yamaha, and in 2014 - the executive director of the entire corporation. In 2018, he took the position of external director. Yamaha Motor makes motorcycles, water transport products including outboard motors, and robotic equipment such as small-sized industrial robots. The company also manufactures specialized products including electric bicycles, snowmobiles, golf carts and power generators. Yamaha Motor sells its products in Japan and abroad.[1]
