Education

After school, Maxim Zabelin entered the S. Kirov Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg. He underwent clinical residency at the Institute for Advanced Medical Studies of the Ministry of Defense. At RANEPA, he received an MBA, Zabelin - Doctor of Medical Sciences.

Career

2010-2013

In 2010-2013, Zabelin moved to Moscow and worked as a surgeon in the city clinical hospital No. 67, after which he became the head of the surgical department in the capital's hospital No. 50.

2015-2022

In 2015-2017, Zabelin worked at the State Scientific Center of the FMBA of Russia, later he moved to the Federal Medical and Biological Agency. Since 2018, Maxim Zabelin headed the Bashkir Ministry of Health. In 2021, he also became Deputy Prime Minister of the regional government. In March 2022, Maxim Zabelin left the post and was appointed head of the administration of the head of the republic.

2024: Appointment as Minister of Health of the Moscow Region

On November 12, 2024, Maxim Zabelin officially assumed his duties as Minister of Health of the Moscow Region. This was announced by the head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov at an operational meeting of the regional government. Previously, Zabelin worked as the head of the administration of the head of Bashkiria.

Zabelin decided to return to medicine, he received an offer to head the largest health care system in the Moscow region. Therefore, from tomorrow, he will begin to fulfill the duties of the Minister of Health of the Moscow Region, - said Khabirov.

Zabelin himself confirmed the news of his transfer to a new position and wrote the following on his Telegram channel on November 11, 2024:

Today is a special day for me - I am completing my work as head of the administration of the head of the republic and moving to a new position, with new difficult and interesting tasks.[1]
