2022: Appointment as head of Yota
At the end of October 2022, it became known about the appointment of Dmitry Zabuga as the new general director of Yota. This is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL), to which Interfax refers.
As explained to the agency in MegaFon"" (owns 100% Yota), he also holds the position of head of the center for legal support of current customer operations. He will combine positions at MegaFon and Yota. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, by the end of October 2022, Zabuga heads two more legal entities - MegaFon LLC Megathat and MF Digital LLC.
As with other subsidiaries, we are building an organizational structure based on the task of maximum efficiency and synergy, strengthening the team in Yota's priority areas of work and excluding unnecessary duplicate functions, MegaFon said. |
Dmitry Zabuga was appointed CEO of Yota instead of Said Munaev. The latter left the company. His new place of work by October 26, 2022 has not been named.
Said Munaev has led Yota since 2021. Prior to that, he, like Dmitry Zabuga, worked in the structures of MegaFon. The reason for his departure from the company is not called.
The change in the head of Yota became known a few weeks after MegaFon and Yota announced the merger of their retail chains by the end of 2023. This project is expected to increase retail efficiency, reduce network development costs by a third and increase traffic in salons by 15%. In the updated salons, subscribers of both MegaFon and Yota will be able to get advice and use the services: connect a SIM card, including switch to an operator with number preservation, connect digital products, as well as purchase smartphones, tablets, routers, smart home devices, travel and healthy lifestyle products, gadgets for children.[1]
