Biography

Ilya was born on August 12, 1973 in Moscow.

In 1995 got an education at the Moscow state historical and archive institute of the Russian State University for the Humanities.

In 1998 became the candidate of historical sciences.

In 2011 defended the doctoral dissertation.

From 1998 to 2000 worked as the junior researcher of Department of history of the East EVE RAHN.

From 2000 to 2002 - the research associate of Department of history of the East EVE RAHN.

In 2002 and for 2005 worked as the senior research associate of Department of history of the East EVE RAHN.

In 2005 received a position of the associate director of EVE RAHN. Worked for 2009.

From 2009 to 2011 worked the manager of Scientific and publishing department of EVE RAHN.

In 2012 and for 2016 worked as the adviser for scientific activity of the CEO of Library of foreign literature of M.I. Rudomino.

In 2014 became the associate director of the Bakhchsarai historical and cultural reserve.

In 2013 began to work as the invited professor of the Center of the Eurasian and Slavic researches of Hokkaido University (Sapporo, Japan).

Since 2012 ISAA MSU, the leading researcher EVE RAHN, the senior research associate of IRI RAS works as the associate professor of the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus.

For January 30, 2017 Ilya Vladimirovich Zaytsev works as the acting the director of Institute of scientific information on social sciences (INION) of RAS.
