The first IT projects in Belgorod

Fyodor Zhernova graduated from Belgorod State University, having received two higher educations: technical and economic, has a Ph.D. in technical sciences.

The first project of the entrepreneur and his team was the information portal "Virtual School," created to automate education and facilitate communication between teachers, schoolchildren and parents. Initially, the service started working in Belgorod, but then two more Russian regions took over the successful experience - Bryansk and Oryol regions.

Introduction of IT technologies in the field of transport, culture and sports

While working on the Virtual School, Fyodor Zhernova and his like-minded people created FabIT, an IT company whose main activity was the development of digital solutions and software based on artificial intelligence.

During 14 years of work, the FIT team has developed and implemented several successful products in various social spheres. For example, within the framework of the federal project "Safe and High-Quality Roads," FIT specialists created an automated system of dimensional and weight control, came up with solutions for paid parking, developed "smart" cameras for photo and video recording.

In the field of culture, together with the Ministry of Culture, Fyodor Zhernov's team launched the Культура.РФ portal, which has become the largest federal Internet resource in its field. For the development of tourism and culture in the Belgorod region, the service "Cultural Region" was created. The project made it possible to fully digitize the sphere of tourism and culture of the region, to draw the attention of tourists and residents of Belgorod to architectural monuments, museums, cultural events.

Fedor Zhernova has been engaged in sports since childhood, has repeatedly taken part in various competitions, and in recent years has been doing a lot for the development of sports in the Belgorod region. For example, FIT has developed and implemented a digital system "Sport Belogorye," designed to unite athletes and sports fans, as well as support regional sports events.

Prospects for the development of the IT sector in Russia

High-tech products "FabIT" are already used in several Russian regions. And although there are still a lot of problems, positive changes are evident. On the one hand, during the crisis, the pace of development of the IT sector in Russia slowed down somewhat, but on the other hand, difficulties pushed the authorities and business to take more decisive action.

Fyodor Zhernovoy's company continues to work on the creation of new projects aimed at digitalizing various sectors of the economy. Within the framework of the Smart City concept, it is planned to develop and introduce the latest electronic devices, applications and services that, based on the needs of a person, will offer the services he needs. It is noteworthy that FIT does not seek to seize the capital's market, but directs its efforts specifically to the development of digital technologies in the regions, and the more such companies, the more actively the regional IT sector in Russia will develop.
