2025: Drone Introduction for Item Delivery

Wheelies on August 26, 2025 introduced a drone to deliver items both indoors and outdoors. device is designed for automation of interaction with people in public spaces, at events and in service areas. The technology is relevant in the HoReCa industry: the drone is capable of serving as an autonomous waiter, delivering drinks and other items to guests. The drone independently paves the route, bypassing people and obstacles, stably keeps course and retains contents during the flight.

The device is based on the Darwin FPV drone with a propeller diameter of 3.5 inches. Wheelies engineers integrated an on-board computer and software into it. This allows you to set the delivery point to the drone through the interface, where delivery areas are pre-marked: tables, racks or other points. The operator selects the desired one, the drone receives a command, paves a route and goes on a flight.

While driving, the drone analyzes the image from the camera, detects people and obstacles, bypasses them and, if necessary, reconfigures the route on the fly. This adaptability is achieved through the use neural network algorithms and possibility of further training for specific use cases.

We show that a drone can be not just a tool for shooting or delivering goods, but a full-fledged participant in service processes. It is able not only to automate routine tasks, but also to become part of a bright performance - to attract the attention of guests and emphasize the innovative image of the company. This format demonstrates how technologies organically fit into everyday scenarios and help businesses, "said Dmitry Kuzma, CEO of Wheelies, ITG Corporation.

The drone is designed to work safely near people. The propellers are covered with compact protective casings that prevent direct contact with the body or clothing. Delivery is carried out without landing - the drone remains in the air at an altitude sufficient for safe transfer of cargo.
