2020: Start of production of prostheses of A.R.M. Project Titanium
On November 11, 2020 Rostec announced production of bionic prostheses of a hand which are three times cheaper than foreign analogs. The model received the name A.R.M. Project Titanium, it is created by specialists of Light Electronics from the Multicenter of social and labor integration of the Leningrad Region together with Tekhnodinamika holding (enters into Rostec).
The artificial hand from metal and polyurethane reproduces the main movements of a brush. Control is exercised by means of sensors of muscular activity – they fasten to a hand of the person and transmit a signal to a payment of management which sets in motion motors in joints. The artificial brush reveals on 10 cm.
The wrist and fingers are made of metal thanks to what the bionic hand can lift objects up to 10 kg. The brush is covered with wearproof polyurethane, fingertips are executed of special nonskid material for keeping of small objects. Also developers pay attention on a heat - and moisture protection of a prosthesis.
Besides, the device is equipped with mechanical turn of a wrist on 180 ° and the rechargeable battery with a capacity of 2040 mAh from which the prosthesis can work without recharge up to three days. Light indication warns about need to connect a product to the charger.
The prosthesis will make NPP Krasnoznamenets of Tekhnodinamika holding. The project investment cost does not reveal, the cost of a prosthesis will be about 500 thousand rubles.
Considering that one import prosthesis costs an average of 1.5 million rubles, it is huge load of a health care system. Together with partners Rostec brings unique development which cost is much lower than import samples to the market. Besides, the prosthesis is executed completely of domestic component parts that considerably reduces service maintenance terms — the chief executive of Rostec Oleg Yevtushenko whose words are cited in the press release said.[1] |
