2023: Product Announcement
On January 4, 2023, Aeolus unveiled its new humanoid robot, AEO. It is a device that can make life easier for the elderly and people with limited mobility, as well as serve restaurants, cafes, kiosks and other tasks.
AEO is an autonomous two-armed humanoid robot capable of controlling elevators and opening swing doors. The robot is equipped with third-generation manipulators from Aeolus, each arm has a carrying capacity of 3.6 kg and seven degrees of freedom (DOF). At the same time, different hands can do completely different actions at the same time. The robot has a built-in ultraviolet emitter designed to disinfect premises, a type of processing of working surfaces, furniture, equipment, door handles and other objects in order to destroy microorganisms and pathogens.
The AEO is equipped with attachments and integration with third-party developers, further increasing its versatility by enabling tasks such as delivery, security, elderly care, kiosk operation and ultraviolet disinfection.
Aeolus Robotics CEO Alexander Huang said that Aeolus's goal is to create robots that will improve the quality of life and develop the positive impact that robots already have on society! The experience of introducing robots in areas as diverse as elder care, hospitals, public transport and hotels has led the company to develop a two-armed humanoid robot, AEO - someone we consider a truly capable, multifunctional service robot for real-world objects.
The AEO robot's vision algorithms provide a wide range of capabilities, ranging from identifying residents' postures to keep seniors safe to finding open windows in a home or apartment. Aeolus reports that machine vision algorithms that are built into the robot are able to determine a person's pose in space and even large bags that can carry dangerous objects.
As of January 9, 2023, AEO humanoid robots are already operating in Japan, Hong Kong and Taipei. In Japan, aeo serves some of the largest senior care companies, such as Medical Care Service, Cocofump and HIMEDIC, as well as some of the largest Japanese property management companies, including Tokyu Group and Globeship Corporation. AEO's humanoid robot offers a wide range of services, such as night shift patrols to keep residents safe, delivering medical supplies to hospitals, disinfecting facilities, patrolling offices and schools for intruders and lost belongings.[1]
