2024: Product Announcement
On December 11, 2024, the Prosveshchenie publishing house presented the first artificial intelligence textbooks in Russia for schoolchildren in grades 5-9. This was reported to journalists in the press service of the publishing house. The textbooks are designed for extracurricular activities and correspond to the federal working program of the course on extracurricular activities.
According to "," Interfax textbooks created in collaboration with the association "Alliance in the Field of Artificial Intelligence" include publications for three age groups: grades 5-6, 7-8 and 9. The materials integrate digital add-ons such as services generative artificial intelligence GigaChat and. Kandinsky
According to the co-author and editor of the publication Alexei Pavlov, more than 30 leading specialists from such companies as Sberbank, Yandex, T-Bank, MTS and Gazprom Neft took part in the work on the textbooks. The scientific editor of the project was Elena Kazakova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy of St. Petersburg State University and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education.
Textbooks are aimed at forming an idea among schoolchildren and teachers about the role of artificial intelligence in modern life. The manuals show that artificial intelligence is not a threat, but a useful tool that helps people in various fields.
The digital supplement to the textbooks includes video lectures from AI technology developers, interactive exercises and tests. Also, students will be able to use neural networks to create texts and illustrations. Online space is protected from malicious content: for example, when entering questions that do not correspond to the age category, GigaChat will offer to change the topic.
As explained in "Enlightenment," an AI course is not required for study as part of computer science lessons and can be taught by any subject teacher in extracurricular classes. To help teachers, the publishing house is preparing a free mini-course.[1]
