2023: As part of a comprehensive solution to improve the security of IP telephony systems

AMT GROUP November 22, 2023 announced the creation of a comprehensive solution to improve system security IP-telephony using the products of the line. InfoDiode Thus, the company continues to implement a strategy aimed at creating ecosystems using solutions in the field of information protection.

To form a solution and test the possibility of ensuring the secure transmission of audio and video traffic, the IP FORUM managed meeting system was used, which was developed specifically for Russian customers and combines the usual format of selector meetings and ease of management with advanced communication technologies. The system is built using a client-server architecture, i.e. with the centralization of some functions (alarm control, mixing of speeches, recording and recording of meetings, etc.). If a potential attacker gains access to server components, it becomes possible to leak or compromise the data of all meetings held on the system.

One of the tasks of information security when implementing IP FORUM is to organize a secure loop for server components of the system. At the same time, the establishment of audio and video telephone connections requires the organization of data transfer both from the protected segment to the less trusted one and in the opposite direction (as a rule, using the SIP telephone signaling protocol).

In order to minimize the risks of the attacker exploiting bidirectional channels communications between trusted and untrusted segments and the risks of bypassing the corresponding software security tools, it is advisable to consider the use of hardware security tools that transmit a physical signal information and only in one direction, and guarantee the isolation of the protected segment at the physical level.

To transmit telephone traffic using the InfoDiode PRO AIC, it is necessary to implement a bidirectional scheme in which one basic InfoDiode PRO AIC set will be responsible for transferring UDP traffic from the protected segment to the outside, and the second for receiving UDP traffic from a less trusted segment. In this case, UDP is the transport protocol for telephone traffic. If you configure UDP tunneling rules, you can restrict data to specific network ports as required by SIP, if necessary.

Thus, the use of InfoDiode allows you to establish multimedia communication sessions (voice and video communication), exchange documents and media files between a protected and less trusted segment or network. The solution allows you to organize two-way audio and video communication, significantly increasing the level of protection of the perimeter of the network.

2016: Samsung Communication Manager Platform and IP Forum Compatibility Tested

Specialists from AMT GROUP and Samsung tested the joint use of the IP FORUM selector meeting solution and the Samsung Communication Manager (SCM) communication platform in early 2016. The results of the comprehensive solution tests give reason to declare the full compatibility of IP FORUM and SCM when organizing a service of managed audio conferences for SCM IP-PBX subscribers.

IP FORUM was created specifically taking into account the requirements of Russian customers who have implemented IP telephony for such systems. The product combines the familiar format of selector and dispatch communication and the ease of control inherent in traditional fixed configuration systems with advanced communication technologies.

On January 21, 2015, it became known about the testing of the interaction of the IP Forum system and the CommuniGate Pro communication platform, conducted by specialists from AMT GROUP and CommuniGate Systems. The purpose of the test is to determine the possibility of mutual integration of systems, their joint use^[1].

Based on the results of testing, it was concluded that the products are compatible, which allows you to organize a service of managed audio conferences for subscribers - IP-PBX CommuniGate Pro.

2012: IP Forum Capabilities
