In October 2017, mass production of defibrillators for emergency care in public places AND-A15 will begin. The portable device was developed by the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant (one of the key organizations in the Schwabe holding, part of Rostec) and has already received the approval of Roszdravnadzor, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Rostec reported on September 27, 2017.
Appointment
The automatic external defibrillator with the function of visual and voice prompts AND-A15 is designed to provide emergency cardiac care in public places, on the streets of the city, as well as in intensive care, in particular, for the resuscitation of people with sudden cardiac arrest resulting from the development of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.
Features
The device is distinguished by its low weight - only 2.65 kg, ergonomics and affordable price for the Russian market - it is up to two times lower than the cost of European analogues, Rostec said.
According to Ivan Ozhgikhin, Deputy General Director of Schwabe, thanks to visual and voice prompts received from the apparatus itself, an absolutely unprepared citizen can provide first aid in sudden cardiac arrest.
Application
By the end of 2017, it is planned to begin installing devices in ambulances in the cities of the Sverdlovsk region, including as part of the regional government's Uralians Health program. It is also planned to install distillers in public places - at stations, metro stations, at airports, shopping centers and other places of large crowds of people.
At the same time, the product can be used in both medical and pre-medical care, and is suitable for home use. The device successfully passed a series of technical tests, testing in Russia and registration with Roszdravnadzor.
Plans
After the device was launched into the Russian market, Rostec plans to start distributing, selling, marketing and servicing the AND A15 defibrillator in the markets of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries.
2021: Start delivery of defibrillators in dentistry
On February 26, 2021, the Schwabe holding announced the supply of more than 240 AND A15 defibrillators in dentistry in the Sverdlovsk, Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions. By the end of the year, clinics will receive another 1,200 units of such medical equipment. Deliveries are made on a competitive basis.
Equipment to assist the patient in sudden cardiac arrest from January 1, 2021 is included in the standard for equipping dental rooms by order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Previously, defibrillation of victims was carried out mainly by ambulance doctors, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, as well as intensive care teams. The inclusion of dentists in this list indicates the first step in the direction of emergency medicine. Both doctors and medical workers with secondary special education can undergo the necessary training in working with defibrillators, especially since the developers of AND A15 paid great attention to the simplicity of working with the device.
Anatoly Sludnykh, General Director of the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant named after E. S. Yalamova (UOMZ, part of the Schwabe holding), noted that the external defibrillator AND A15 is equipped with the function of voice and visual prompts. It performs defibrillation automatically in four actions. At the same time, the device is safe and will not work if the patient does not have fibrillation, he said.
According to Natalia Anisimova, President of the Russian Association of Pain Relief and Safe Dentistry, dentists several times in practice face urgent conditions in patients, so the presence of an X-ray laboratory assistant, in her opinion, is less useful than the mandatory presence of a defibrillator in each dental center.
In addition to defibrillators, from the beginning of 2021, according to the orders of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, dentistry in the absence of an X-ray cabinet should also be equipped with special devices - radio isiographers and orthopantomographers.[1]
