History

2025: Opening of an engineering center in Belarus

Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant named after E. S. Yalamov (UOMZ) holding Schwabe"" initiated the opening of an engineering center in the Republic. Belarus This center will expand the competence of the plant in terms of design, development of technologies and production of parts from modern composite materials. Thanks to technologies and production equipment on the basis of the center, a full cycle of design and manufacture of complex products for products of optical instrument making, aviation and space industry, as well as other areas can be implemented.

Among other things, specialists will use the vacuum infusion method and the technology of producing composite products based on impregnation of reinforcing material with thermosetting binder (RTM technology). The first is distinguished by the maximum purity of the process and allows you to obtain lighter and stronger parts, and the second - to achieve optimal impregnation characteristics and produce parts of a complex shape in one operation.

Our relationship with the Republic has a long history and a solid foundation. In particular, we are actively conducting bilateral deliveries of devices and a component base. Over the past three years alone, the volume of cooperation between the holding's enterprises and Belarusian companies in physical and monetary terms has more than tripled. As we continue to develop our interaction, we create the conditions for joint research and development of unique products. The opening of the engineering center is one of the initiatives aimed at achieving this goal, "said Vadim Kalyugin, General Director of Schwabe, member of the Bureau of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia.

The opening of the engineering center took place on February 24, 2025 in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich, Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kuyvashev, Deputy General Director of Shvabe Alexander Statsenko and General Director of UOMZ Anatoly Sludnykh.

Already in March 2025, the center will release the first batch of parts of complex geometry from composite materials. The products will be sold both in the interests of the holding and other Russian and Belarusian industrial companies.

2022: Inclusion in Novikombank's Development Employee Incentive Program

The Ural plant of Shvabe Holding of Rostec State Corporation will be included in the Development employee incentive program and will receive preferential financing from Novikombank in the amount of 1 billion rubles. The funds will be provided under the program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia aimed at supporting backbone enterprises. The Schwabe holding announced this on July 7, 2022.

The Bank also included the company in the participants of the Development incentive program for certain categories of employees of Rostec and its organizations.

Thanks to the financial support of our long-standing partner in the person of Novikombank, a number of measures will be implemented within the framework of the current activities of the enterprise, including the fulfillment of existing and promising contracts for the production and supply of civilian products. Mainly we are talking about medical equipment. The Development Program of Novikombank, developed jointly with Rostec State Corporation as part of a sustainable development strategy, provides for preferential rates on mortgage and other credit products, including loans for education.
