2019: Axis Camera Station S1132 Recorder

On January 30, 2019 the Axis Communications company provided the AXIS S1132 video recorder which supplements a product line and solutions of the company in the field of professional security video surveillance.

According to the statement of the producer, the AXIS Camera Station S1132 Recorder video recorder provides record from video cameras in high resolution. For fast and simple installation it is delivered with the preset software for management of video AXIS Camera Station. The recorder differs in high performance and contains the powerful central processor for fast data processing. The operating system is stored on the solid state drive (SSD) which allows to start quickly a system and protects it in case of failure. AXIS S1132 is delivered with in advance configured array of RAID and additional built-in protection against data loss. To users of a product a first line support on site is provided to operation and an expanded 2-year guarantee.

As noted in Axis, devices of a video can be purchased as separate workstations for use at office or as rack servers for installation in server premises. Memory of a recorder of AXIS S1132 makes up to 16 TB disk spaces, besides, users have an opportunity to increase this volume, having installed additional hard drives. Also users I can add up to 16 licenses for connection of additional cameras. Thus, a system is scaled as required.

2015: S1016, S1032 and S1048

The range IP- devices AXIS Communications the S1016, S1032 and S1048 video recorders on 16, 32 and 48 video channels which are intended for record, storage and broadcast of video from IP cameras with the resolution up to 5 MR filled up in the spring of 2015, use H.264 and MJPEG video codecs and provide speeds of 12, 24 and 32 MB/s, respectively. At the same time the video recorder the AXIS S1016 server has storage with a capacity of 3 TB, S1032 — 9 TB, and S1048 — 15 TB. Each device of a video of a new series is delivered with the preset software of AXIS Camera Station and Windows 7 Professional OS, allows to manipulate rotary cameras and to export video and the separate personnel on external carriers. Moreover, for image output on the monitor screen the S1016 server is supplied with the DVI-I video output, and S1032 and S1048 models — two VGA interfaces.

Unlike analogs, the AXIS video recorders provide simple increase in number of the serviced channels by acquisition of additional licenses. At the same time the 16-channel S1016 device can be transformed to 24-channel, S1032 – in 48-channel, and the video recorder the S1048 server along with the available 48th video channels can be added with 16 more. For record and storage of video from IP cameras of innovation are equipped with SATA hard drives with a capacity of 3 TB, 9 TB and 15 TB, respectively, and S1032 and S1048 provide a possibility of their "hot" replacement. The hardware platform of 16-channel S1016 models includes the Intel processor i5 4570S with RAM of 4 GB, the Intel I217LM network interface card and the video card AMD Radeon R5 A240, and 32-/48-channel video recorders use Intel Xeon E5-2407 v2 with the RAM of 8 GB, Broadcom 5720 Dual Port Gigabit NIC with two gigabit ports and Matrox of 200 eR, respectively. At the same time each video recorder the server of a new series is delivered with Microsoft Windows Professional Embedded 7 OS and the preset managing software of AXIS Camera Station of the 4th version. For the maximum convenience of work the new AXIS S10 servers it is completed with a mouse and the keyboard and are suitable for creation of IP video surveillance systems by the plug & play method.

The Alarm manager system which is built in S10 allows to configure reactions of the IP video recorder to disturbing events which can initiate the detector of the movement and external security sensors connected to it. Besides, each device of S10 series allows to register intersections of virtual borders, damage of cameras, etc. That the new video recorder the server supports interactive maps the operator of a video surveillance system can quickly define physical location of the source which generated a disturbing signal. Also via the S1016, S1032 and S1048 servers the control of PTZ cameras including on alarms is implemented.

The new S1016, S1032 and S1048 video recorders can be used for creation new or upgrades of the existing video system using already available IP equipment of AXIS as they are capable to record video with the resolution up to 5 megapixels in the H.264 and M-JPEG formats with a speed of 12, 24 and 32 MB/s, respectively. It should be noted that irrespective of number of channels, the video recorder the server can perform broadcast of video to remote users in H.264 with the permission to Full HD (1920х1080 px.) at 15 fps. Moreover, the server provides to the operator intellectual search of video in archive, its frame viewing and also 64-fold acceleration of reproduction.

Other advantage of new products is existence of a backup system of information using which video recorders execute copying automatically according to the schedule or manually, as in the form of the separate personnel in the JPEG format, and video files in ASF. At the same time the video recorder the server can perform export of historical records on the disks DVD-RW via the corresponding drive and on USB drives for which connection S1032 and S1048 have 4 USB connectors 2.0, and S1016 — 6xUSB 2.0 and 4xUSB 3.0. It is important to note that the server provides protection of video against falsification by means of electronic signatures, and at its copying on external drives exports also software for their viewing on play devices.

For centralized operation the video surveillance system using 32-or 48-channel video recorders can use the AXIS Camera Station S9001 terminal allowing to connect to a system up to 2 monitors via interface DVI-I. For full compatibility of devices the terminal, as well as the video recorder the server, is supplied with Microsoft Windows Professional 7 OS and software of AXIS Camera Station v.4.x and also has the hard drive on 500 GB, the powerful central processor and the video card.
