At the end of July 2023, the first humanoid robot for training in Russia was presented. It is controlled in virtual reality (VR). We are talking about a device called "Adam" (ADAM), it was created by the company "Robot," which is a resident of "Skolkovo."

"Adam" is a personal robot that serves as a tool for learning the basics of robotics and programming. The robot has free software with support for the Blockly and Python programming languages. Robots can be controlled manually, using a VR system, and also work autonomously. By the end of July 2023, a third version of the robot is being developed, which will differ in design, including humanoid arms and legs.

We develop a personal robot "Adam" for educational purposes, for teaching schoolchildren and students in the field of programming, to solve the problem of training personnel in the field of IT. The robot "Adam" is a kind of tool thanks to which you can study the basics of robotics, programming, lure more people into this area, - said the founder of the company "Robot" Alexander Ganyushkin.

According to him, it is also planned to release a version of "Adam Junior" - a mobile platform on omnidirectional wheels, it will be more affordable for schools, educational clubs, etc.

"Robot" is engaged in the development and introduction of a personal humanoid robot Adam into the system of additional and general education of children. The company was the first in Russia to develop and patent a way to control a robot using controllers and a virtual reality helmet. "We are aimed at solving the problem of training specialists in the field of IT, improving the quality of training and the level of educational robotics in general," said Alexander Ganyushkin.[1]
