2020: Submission of the AR Support application

On May 25, 2020 "Center of cognitive technologies of AiTeco" provided application AR Support with technology augmented reality for remote expert and technical support of the employees performing repair and service of the equipment and the equipment. Implementing solution will allow the companies to cut down expenses on training and business trips of personnel, technical support, will lower a downtime of devices. The application will be demanded in metallurgy to power, oil and gas and other industries.

Application of AiTeco AR Support

According to representatives of "The center of cognitive technologies", AR Support is intended for creation of the digital instructions with elements of augmented reality simplifying work with different types of devices, the equipment, mechanisms and systems. Thanks to the application the employees who do not have the necessary qualification can contact the removed expert, receive recommendations and eliminate faults.

In case of breakdown of the equipment or emergence of a technical issue the employee who is near an object shows it to the expert in real time using the smartphone camera. On the received image the expert shows the step-by-step scenario of actions with AR hints. They can be text and graphic: shooters, icons, schemes. AR Support allows to use also in advance developed instructions.

Application of AiTeco AR Support

AR Support can be used for creation of knowledge bases and evident digital guides for work with interfaces and mechanisms, installation and assembly of the equipment, maintenance and repair of a difficult technique. Instructions with elements of augmented reality allow to reduce quantity of errors, to increase the speed of mastering by employees of new skills, to reduce a downtime of devices.

According to the statement of the company, the application will be demanded in the industries where a large number of the difficult equipment on geographically distributed and hardly accessible objects is involved — in power, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, oil and gas, mining, construction and other industries. The solution can be used for technical support of clients (office equipment and systems, a telecom, etc.) in situations when the specialist cannot come out to the place.
