2023: Release of version with thermal imaging camera
On September 17, 2023, it became known that the Russian enterprise JSC Enix had modernized the Eleron-7 reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The drone received a number of improvements, including an improved thermal imaging camera.
"Eleron-7" is designed to conduct control and observation from the air of objects and equipment in remote areas of the area, for example, in areas of military operations. Drone equipped with a receiver of navigation systems/ GPS, GLONASS gyro-stabilized photo, video and thermal imaging means. The device is capable of reaching speeds of up to 130 km/h and reaching an altitude of up to 5000 m above sea level. As part of the power plant, an electric motor is used.
According to RIA Novosti, referring to information received from the representative of Enix JSC Sergei Vaskov, during the modernization, the resolution of the on-board thermal imaging equipment of the drone was increased. The maximum flight duration has been increased from three to four hours. In addition, the video control and transmission channels have been improved - they have become more noise-proof. Improvements also affected the navigation module.
"Eleron-7" can be operated in three modes - autonomous, automatic and semi-automatic. In the first two cases, the mission is performed in accordance with the program entered before launch into the onboard memory. At that, autonomous flight provides operation in radio silence mode of aircraft data transmission facilities, while automatic circuit allows program correction by commands from ground control panel. The semi-automatic mode involves the transfer of commands for changing the direction and (or) height from the ground. The drone is launched using a special launcher, and the landing is carried out by parachute.[1]
