2022: Launch of an international social network for children
On February 4, 2022, the International School of Programming "Traditimika" announced that it had launched the Hall of Fame - a social network for children and adolescents from 7 to 17 years old from around the world. It has about 300 thousand users from 66 countries, and the functionality of the social network has been translated into 13 languages.
Hall of Fame - a virtual space in which projects made by the students of "Austrimics" are presented. The works collected in the Hall are divided into areas - design, sites, presentations, pictures, solutions in different programming languages. Children can leave likes and comments on projects, add students from all over the world to friends and communicate with them, change the appearance of their painted avatar, fulfill various goals and receive prizes for their achievement.
Any child who has an account on the platform can become a member of a social network. You can get it for free by listening to a master class from the "Algorithmics" experts. The order in the Hall of Fame is monitored by moderators. Each child is familiarized with the rules of behavior on the social network. Children receive a warning if they behave incorrectly, show aggression, use obscene vocabulary. In cases of violations, children may be limited in the ability to comment and publish projects. In addition, the moderator conducts a preventive conversation with the offender. With each violation, the duration of the ban increases.
According to Azerbaijmiki, children have already left 74 thousand likes, 90 thousand comments on more than 40 thousand educational projects. The number of project views is more than 225 thousand.
In addition to the Hall of Fame, the platform has an Entertainment Center. Every two to three weeks, contests are launched there, cognitive content from "Austrimics," Methodist projects, logical tasks or discussions, for example, new films, are released.
'The Hall of Fame involves more children and adolescents in programming training through peer communication. Social network users show high activity: 90% of children comment on projects in the Hall of Fame, 60% repost projects of other children, 52% put likes, and every fifth child finishes other people's projects. Before the launch of the social network in extra-time, only 10% entered the platform. Beginning in the fall of 2021, 70% of all Traditimics students around the world performed useful actions in the Hall of Fame. So we increased the retention metric by 7 times. Many parents even say that their children now, instead of spending time on computer games, make extracurricular projects to then put them in the Hall of Fame. In just a few months, children have already published more than 40,000 projects, ' said the founder of the international programming school "Azerbaijmika" Andrei Lobanov |
