2019: Certification of TÜV Rheinland on the level of blue light

On May 5, 2019 it became known that bonus and gaming models of the Dell PC with the Eyesafe display, including Alienware Area 51m, Alienware m17, G7 and XPS 13 2 in 1, conform to requirements of certification of TÜV Rheinland on the level of blue light.

This certification – an important step in recognition of the risks for health connected with long stay at the screen and excessive influence of harmful blue light. Developments of Dell demonstrate to what to reach optimal technical balance between functional characteristics of the display and the state of health of the user now became possible.

In comparison with other solutions for suppression of blue light which influence a color gamma using the software the Eyesafe display changes architecture of illumination at the hardware level when preserving quality of a color rendition.

Earlier the Dell Technologies company provided products of lines of Alienware, G-Series and XPS with the Eyesafe displays meeting the requirements of TÜV for the low level of blue light. TÜV Rheinland Method 2 assumes decrease in level of blue light hardware that still seldom meets in the PC industry. For this purpose it is necessary that the relation of a high-energy range of visible blue light (415-455 nanometers) to the overall level of blue light (400-500 nanometers) was lower than 50%.

The Eyesafe technology intellectually manages the displayed high-energy visible blue light, saving at the same time a color rendition. 2018: Alienware m15

On October 16, 2018 the Alienware company provided the Alienware m15 notebook executed in so-called design of Epic (with elements from magnesium alloy).

According to the statement of the producer, with the Alienware m15 notebook, available in silvery (Epic Silver) and red (Nebula Red) flowers, gamers can play without prejudice to performance in any place and using favourite settings. Sales of the notebook in Russia will begin in December, 2018.
