2025: Start of mass production

JSC NPO "Android Technology" November 27, 2025 announced the start of mass production Russian medical of the robotic complex "Junior." It is designed for highly effective habilitation of children with hand motor disorders, including those with cerebral palsy (cerebral palsy).

The complex has already received a registration certificate (G004-00110-00/03648924 from 31.10.2025) and will soon appear in the country's medical institutions. According to the Ministry of Health of Russia, in 2024, from 85 to 100 thousand children with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy were recorded in the country and this figure increases annually by 6 thousand new cases. The main measures of habilitation of children with cerebral palsy in Russia remain physiotherapy, massage, classes with a speech therapist and occupational therapist, as well as the use of mechanotherapeutic simulators without robotic control. "Junior" offers a fundamentally new approach.

One simulator allows for up to 500 habilitation patients per year. With a planned production volume of 200 sets annually, tens of thousands of children with cerebral palsy will be able to regularly undergo the necessary rehabilitation procedures. The main quality of the complex is the combination of high patient involvement and the effectiveness of the method.

High efficiency: The habilitation process is 2-3 times faster than with traditional methods.

"Power of thought" technology: The child controls the simulator using a brain-computer interface (power of thought) or minimal muscle activity.

Gamification: An interactive virtual environment turns activities into a fun game. This increases children's motivation and engagement, which is critical for long-term outcomes.

As a result, children not only acquire new motor skills, but also become more socially adapted, more confident in themselves and are able to perform previously inaccessible household actions.

The start of serial production of the Junior complex is a step towards thousands of children with motor disabilities in Russia being able to get a chance for a full life, "said Maria Ruban, executive director of the Android Technology NGO. - A tool has been created that helps the brain rebuild neural connections, restoring lost functions. This complex is a good example of how robotic technologies can serve medicine and solve critical social problems.
