2019: Announcement of the solution for modeling of dynamics of the systems of bodies of ANSYS Motion
On March 27, 2019 the ANSYS company presented the solution for modeling of dynamics of the systems of bodies of ANSYS Motion. This tool allows to calculate both deformable, and non-deformable bodies in one system taking into account hinged and contact interactions.
ANSYS Motion consists of four connected modules: for tasks with solid (non-deformable) bodies, elastic (deformable) bodies, for calculation of natural frequencies and forms of fluctuations and a solver of EasyFlex without stage of creation of a grid. It allows to model systems and mechanisms of any extent of detailing, noted in ANSYS.
ANSYS Motion Car Toolkit
According to the developer, the automobile systems with a set of parts and interactions can be calculated using Car Toolkit. This tool kit allows to model different templates and subsystems for the analysis of the movement and driving, such as brake system, suspender and steering. Car Toolkit also supports libraries of elements for modeling of buses.
Scopes:
- Characteristic of the suspender and steering system of the vehicle.
- Determination of road performance and controllability of the car and also a feedback with a wheel.
- General analysis of the vehicle or analysis of subsystems.
ANSYS Motion Drivetrain Toolkit
According to the statement of the developer, Drivetrain is a tool kit for modeling of power transmissions, including tooth and screw gears, bearings, shaft and the body. In particular, calculation of forces arising in tooth gearings at fluctuations of speed/loading allows to estimate the vibration characteristics as close as possible to real traffic conditions. In Drivetrain it is possible to construct toothed linkage by filling of the corresponding specifications for design of tooth gearings and also to analyze linkage errors for each tooth gearing (a side gap). Drivetrain provides access to directories of bearings from leading manufacturers, allows to create geometry of the tooth gearing from parametrical sketches.
Scopes:
- Analysis of noise and vibrations of reducers of electric vehicles.
- The analysis of noise and vibrations of the systems of transfers, including epycyclic.
- Analysis of vibrations and noise of the steering systems.
- Analysis of influence of errors of transfers to constructions of a reducer.
ANSYS Motion Links Toolkit
Many mechanical systems have flexible elements of the power transmission, as chains, caterpillars and belts. Connections between separate links and contact interaction between links and a chain gear wheel, pulleys and rollers require calculation of a set of elements and determination of contact interaction between them. Chain/Track are a tool kit for fast automatic problem definition and the subsequent postprocessing.
Scopes:
- The caterpillar systems in any track laying vehicles, such as excavators and armored vehicles.
- Chain transfers in different machines.
- All types of pulleys, belt drives.
- Systems of material handling, for example, belt conveyor.
- Belts of the gas-distributing mechanism in internal combustion engines.
ANSYS Motion EasyFlex
EasyFlex is a tool kit as a part of the license ANSYS Motion for automatic creation of a numerical model without generation of a settlement grid. In this software module it is possible to calculate the intense deformed status of elastic bodies, without having special knowledge of the principles and methods of generation of a settlement grid. Thereby the user of ANSYS Motion has more time for the solution of the current engineering tasks, claim in ANSYS.
Scope — automatic modeling of elastic elements in the systems of bodies with the admission of a stage of generation of a grid.
