For February 15, 2017 Asus DSL-AC88U is the dual-band wireless router with support of the G.fast protocol.

On February 15, 2017 the Asus company provided the dual-band wireless router of class AC3100 with support of the G.fast protocol for Internet access. The device supports the ADSL, ADSL2/2 standards + and VDSL2.

The router uses Broadcom NitroQAM technology and can work at speed up to 2167 Mbps in the range of 5 GHz, at the same time at a speed up to 1000 Mbps in the range of 2.4 GHz. In total it gives network transmission capacity to 3167 Mbps[1].

The device is equipped with means of parent control, they will help to limit access for children to undesirable websites. Access restriction in the Internet for each device or a guest account on time by introduction of the schedule for each of them is possible.

In addition to support of the G.fast protocol and the DSL standards, the router of Asus DSL-AC88U has wire network ports Ethernet:

The Broadcom NitroQAM (1024-QAM) technology implemented in DSL-AC88U increases data transfer rate at a frequency of 5 GHz from 1734 Mbps to 2167 Mbps and at a frequency of 2.4 GHz — from 800 Mbps to 1000 Mbps. The general capacity for 25% exceeds maximum speed when using the router with 4 antennas and support of MIMO 4x4 technology, claim in Asus. It excludes delays during the online games and provides smooth reproduction of a streaming video of high definition.

Asus DSL-AC88U supports the G.fast protocol, it provides data transfer rate 18 times higher in comparison with VDSL2 standard 4.5 times above in comparison with Vplus (35b). The DSL-AC88U router is backward-compatible with older DSL — ADSL, ADSL2/2 standards + and DSL2.
