In mid-April 2025, Asus announced the VivoWatch 6 Aero wearable device - the world's first fitness bracelet capable of measuring blood pressure and taking an electrocardiogram (ECG). In addition, the gadget allows you to record a number of other indicators of the vital activity of the body and physical activity.
The novelty is equipped with two sensor units, one of which is located in the front of the case, and the second in the back. By touching the sensors on the front panel with your finger, you can measure the level of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and blood pressure, as well as do an ECG. Rear sensors are able to continuously record SpO2, heart rate and other values.
The device allows you to calculate the number of steps taken and calories spent, analyze the quality and duration of sleep. The snoring detection function is implemented. Various sports modes are provided, such as running, cycling, yoga, etc. Through the bracelet, you can control the camera and music player on your smartphone, as well as view various notifications, including incoming messages and information about calls.
The fitness tracker is equipped with a bright 1.1-inch AMOLED color display diagonally. The Bluetooth 5.0 controller is responsible for communicating with the smartphone; guaranteed compatibility with Android 8 and later operating systems and iOS 13.0 and higher. There is a built-in GPS receiver. The device is enclosed in a dust and moisture-proof housing (5ATM). Power is provided by a 135 mA·ch battery. The declared battery life on a single charge reaches five days in normal mode and seven days in energy saving mode. The gadget weighs 28 grams along with the strap.[1]
