The BIM standard template - contains practical recommendations about the organization of collective work, systematization of data on a construction object at different stages of lifecycle.
On November 24, 2016 the Autodesk company offered participants of the construction market version 2.0 of an open template of the BIM standard for vulgar objects.
The publication purpose - to help the companies changing the processes upon transition to BIM. The template is open for all and can be used by users of any software supporting technology of information modeling.
In this version the open template of the BIM standard published by Autodesk in 2015 is added. To the described BIM scenarios one more increased – 3D - coordination, it is executed in Navisworks environment. Its purpose – stay and correction of potential collisions before their detection on building.
The system of names of files of the project and different content of Revit is reviewed and changed – the template contains at 4 schemes of namings more (21 instead of 17 in the previous version). Together with the BIM standard templates for Revit and the file of general options are released.
The BIM standard is the main document at the organization of processes of information modeling in the company. The main terms and determinations, the list of the basic BIM scenarios implemented at different design stages and stages of lifecycle of an object are provided in a template; rules of the name of elements and layers, main stages of preparation and organization of process of information modeling and many other things.
 | The template of the BIM standard comprises the best practices of work with an information model from the Russian and international companies. First of all it defines interaction methods, and only in the second it is recommendations about implementation of new processes using certain software. For this reason we consider that this standard can be a basis for the BIM standard of the organization regardless of the used software. Work on any construction object means collective participation. And it concerns not only those who project and build, but also the vendors providing process of information modeling. We consider it necessary to do the standard open and we will be glad to its use by any market participants. Its basic provisions will help to adjust collective work on model, to make project decisions on the basis of necessary and sufficient digital data, to prevent losses from collisions of any organization working at the construction market. |  |
The offered template is approved by Autodesk Consulting which specialists took part in development both national (NBIMS, PAS, etc.), and corporate BIM standards for the enterprises of Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the USA and Russia in different sectors of economy:
- industrial and civil engineering,
- mining industry,
- transport and infrastructure.
Afterwards Autodesk Consulting and partners of Autodesk will be able to apply a template to creation of BIM standards at the enterprises working at a basis of information modeling.
