2020: The increased performance, a possibility of "display swapping"

The Avaya company, solution provider for business communications and joint work, announced on November 8, 2020 release of the next version of the Avaya Vantage device. The updated Avaya Vantage is the universal solution of communications including the built-in high-precision camera for conference communication, the broadband audio system and four microphones that opens access to all opportunities of remote joint work without use of the notebook.

According to a recent research of Avaya "Work From Anywhere", 65% of the polled companies integrate solutions for a video conferencing in the work more and more, that preparing personnel for possible further increase in number of home offices. And if to a pandemic among them the number working far off was insignificant, then according to forecasts, after a pandemic about 30% of employees will work from the house, at least, few times in a week.

With transition of personnel to remote work the notebook became new "office" which is used for calls, online meetings, message exchange and also for joint work over projects. As a result numerous applications restart the notebook, and for use of the softphone or participation in meetings often it is necessary to stop work.

Will cope with this problem the updated Avaya Vantage which will transfer calls and meetings from the notebook to the separate device will help. Thanks to the increased performance upgraded version works three times quicker previous that provides the universality and convenience necessary at creation of remote communications. The module Wi-fi allows to mark the device in any convenient location. Also updated Avaya Vantage device can be connected practically to any headset, a keyboard/mouse, the external camera and the display.

The device is convenient in setup and use, is integrated with the existing platforms of Avaya and with standard video infrastructure and also provides access to cloud applicaions. In the modified version of Avaya Vantage there was a possibility of "display swapping" giving to users it is more than flexibility with participation in a conference. If necessary content and conferees can be transferred to the big screen at any time. Also Avaya Vantage allows to open the current conference on the notebook and to show to participants the presentation.

The description of Avaya Vantage for Android

According to information for March, 2019 Avaya Vantage is the multimedia IP phone with expanded functions for all types of communications based on Android having ample opportunities for customization. This innovation desktop communication device created for simple, instant, natural interaction. It integrates voice calls, a chat and applications for joint work in one device of modern design.

Availability on the Device as a Service model

On January 11, 2019 Avaya Holdings Corp. presented the solution "Device as Service" (Device as a Service, DaaS) which allows to use smart desktop Avaya devices on a subscription, paying only a monthly subscription fee. How sales of smart devices in cellular shops are performed, Avaya offers business one more option of acquisition of the desktop solutions — on a subscription.

The solution extends to the last smart Avaya devices, including to the Avaya Vantage portfolio, a complete line of the Essential Experience J100 IP phones and also to devices for conference communication of Avaya B109, B179 and B189. Thanks to the fact that desktop solutions of Avaya are not tied to specific platforms they can be used as as a part of the platform of unified communications from Avaya, and other producers.

For the last few years the model of sales DaaS becomes more and more popular in the market of UCaaS-solutions. In addition to an output to the market of the wide range of modern IP devices, Avaya achieved notable improvements in terms of setup and configuring, management and monitoring of service of the user devices. 2017: It is announced the beginning of sales of Vantage

On June 26, 2017 the Avaya company announced the beginning of sales desktop and conference phones for Vantage telecom operators. Avaya in cooperation with BroadSoft company makes a range of devices on the basis of the open SIP standards.
