2026: BI.Zone Mail Security 2.11

On February 3, 2026, BI.ZONE introduced an updated version of BI.ZONE Mail Security 2.11. An AI module for analyzing the emotional coloring of letters has appeared in this release. Now the solution not only recognizes the context and urges of the sender, but can also detect manipulative effects in the text of messages.

BI.Zone Mail Security 2.11

According to the company, the updated module analyzes mail by emotional coloring, revealing positive, negative or neutral letters. He also finds signs of social engineering, such as pressure or urgency. This helps BI.ZONE Mail Security more accurately classify letters and respond faster to threats disguised as business or business correspondence.

Attackers are increasingly masking attacks as ordinary corporate correspondence: they send messages on behalf of accounting, managers or contractors, while using psychological techniques. Pressure, alarming or ultimatum tone, appeal to urgency help them achieve the desired reaction: agree on a payment, send documents or follow the link. Therefore, one of the tasks of mail protection is not just to block letters, but to recognize manipulative context. We have strengthened the system by analyzing emotional and behavioral patterns: it allows us to identify signs of psychological impact characteristic of phishing and BEC attacks, and more confidently distinguish dangerous letters from legitimate business correspondence.

Also in the update, they expanded functionality to improve user convenience and reduce the burden on administrators. They added automatic synchronization of the list of allowed recipients with Active Directory - this reduces the risk of configuration and administration errors. To strengthen the protection of credentials and records, they implemented two-factor authentication (2FA) through TOTP, as well as a mechanism for forcing password changes after expiration.

Additionally, tools for responding to suspicious letters have been optimized. Administrators can now include alerts for messages from external senders and add a button for complaints directly to the text of the email. If one user complained about the letter, the system increases the sender's risk rating and blocks his letters only for this employee. In case of mass complaints, the sender is blocked at the level of the entire organization. At the same time, the system takes into account inverse scenarios. If the user allowed the delivery of a previously blocked letter or if the sender was massively marked as trusted, the decision is remembered and the risk rating is reduced - individually for the employee or for the entire company.

BI.ZONE Mail Security 2.11 has added filtering methods that strengthen protection against counterfeit harmful and emails. In particular, authentication has been optimized DMARC to confirm the authenticity of the sender and protect against spoofing attacks. domain

Also, in the on-prem version, you can now update the system to the latest version through the installer. The message log has become more informative: users see the rating of the letter at each stage of verification and detailed information about SMTP checks. Also added the ability to manually teach the model of categorization of letters through the web interface.

In September 2025, an updated version of BI.ZONE Mail Security 2.9.0 was released. It added an AI model that identifies calls to action in letters. BI.ZONE has also improved protection against corporate data breaches with new filtering techniques that prevent letters with attachments from being forwarded to external public mailing addresses.

All these functions are available to clients of the corporate mail system RuPost when used in conjunction with BI.ZONE Mail Security.

Ability to configure proxy settings

BI.ZONE introduced a large-scale update of the service for intelligent protection of corporate mail users on September 30, 2025. Now BI.ZONE Mail Security is three times faster, analyzes letters using AI, and also supports integrations with other cybersecurity systems.

The core performance in BI.ZONE Mail Security has become three times higher: on the minimum configuration (8 CPU/16 GB RAM), the system processes up to 5100 letters per minute. This allows companies to maintain a high speed of operation without unnecessary costs, even under peak load.

In addition, the product added the ability to configure proxy server settings to simplify work in infrastructures with limited direct access. It may be required, for example, to work with BI.ZONE Threat Intelligence cyber intelligence data, as well as to analyze links transmitted in letters.

With the growth of productivity, the service has become more flexible. The Integration section allows BI.ZONE Mail Security to work in conjunction with other cybersecurity products. As of September 2025, companies can already connect Sandbox-class solutions from other developers to the product, improving HVE detection and increasing infrastructure stability.

The development of integrations also affected its own services. BI.ZONE Mail Security now works more closely with BI.ZONE Threat Intelligence: administrators can receive detailed information about compromise indicators.

The BI.ZONE Mail Security update makes it easier for analysts to work: advanced integrations and an updated interface help strengthen organization protection loops and respond faster to incidents. We are open to cooperation and invite cybersecurity developers to offer their integrations - connections will be free,}}

BI.ZONE Mail Security has added an AI model that reveals hidden urges to action in letters. All models in the system are not static and can be trained: users and administrators mark letters as "spam" or "not spam" right in the interface. With each such markup, the system becomes more accurate and adaptable to the needs of the company.

BI.ZONE Mail Security also tightened control over corporate data. The new filtering method prevents letters with attachments from being forwarded to external public mail addresses, reducing the risk of leaks.

Quick filtering rules have been added for administrators, by which they can block or skip emails by email, domain, IP address, subnet or hash. Rules can be configured one at a time or a list of up to 10,000 records can be loaded.

These features complement the updated greylisting, new content validation conditions (DKIM, SPF, and file type), and loop protection algorithms in email server auto-responses and bounce messages (email server auto-notifications of failed email delivery).

The boxed version has a CLI installer. It is enough to run the command - and the solution will be established.

Performance and functionality are supported by convenient management. Up to 90% of system parameters can now be configured through the interface, which saves administrators time and simplifies work with the system. The updated design of dashboards and key interface elements helps you navigate statistics faster.

The activity log and advanced system monitoring make processes transparent and allow for more accurate infrastructure control. The work with addresses has been additionally improved - support for Punycode and Cyrillic domains.

Launch a product to protect corporate email from complex attacks

On February 26, 2025, BI.ZONE announced the launch of the BI.ZONE Mail Security product to protect corporate email from complex attacks. The solution that replaced BI. ZONE CESP combines modern practices for email security with advanced approaches to analysis and response.

BI.ZONE Mail Security

According to the company, the product protects users thanks to individual profiling using ML technologies. BI.ZONE Mail Security can be connected as a cloud service or deployed locally (on-prem). Corporate email remains one of the most popular vectors of attacks on companies. According to the Threat Zone 2025 study, 57% of targeted attacks on Russian organizations begin with an email. At the same time, a person turns out to be a vulnerable link: he can open a malicious attachment, follow a phishing link or not recognize the sender's fake address in case of spoofing.

When developing BI.ZONE Mail Security, experts focused on protecting the user. Thanks to ML tools, the solution analyzes the digital habits and behavior of an employee, makes up his individual profile. This data allows you to accurately classify the content of letters and track anomalies in time. For example, if the activity of the user or the style of messages has changed, the system informs the recipient about the potential danger of the letter or blocks it.

The solution also recognizes emotions in the text. For example, if a user is trying to intimidate and force to perform an action: download a file or scan a QR code, the letter will have a corresponding sign. With the help of individual settings, the client will decide for himself how the system responds to such messages. These measures allow you to more accurately block unwanted emails.

File:Aquote1.png
We have created an intelligent system that protects organizations and employees from email attacks without reducing productivity. BI.ZONE Mail Security is not just the next version of the product. It is based on a system with an updated architecture that meets modern calls and allows us to quickly bring updates to users. Companies of all sizes can tailor the solution to their needs with the flexibility to scale and manage.

told Dmitry Tsarev, Head of Cloud Cybersecurity Solutions Department BI.ZONE
