Bentley OpenRail is the software of comprehensive planning, design, projects implementation and operation of railway and transit infrastructure.

By software of OpenRail it is based on a unified environment of data and includes the shared services ProjectWise and AssetWise configured especially for workflows in the system of the railroads. During project implementation of ProjectWise improves cooperation between the distributed engineering commands, coordination of the structured workflows and visualization of the project. For OpenRail AssetWise provides information services for lifecycle of assets for linear, network and geospatial coupling, decision support on specific line sections, verification processes and security management and changes.
OpenRail ConceptStation supports a combination of the digital OpenRail components and a digital context and expands possibilities of BIM for conceptual planning and configuration in the railway industry. Working in the environment of three-dimensional design using the geoattached reality grid as digital initial data of the railway project, the user can use components from the Center of components (Components Center) dragging them in construction quickly to build railway lines, bridges, contact network, signals, tunnels, etc.
The center of components (Component Center) is cloud service Microsoft Azure. It provides libraries from different disciplines and applications, provides semantic contents of the catalogued components, may contain vendor data, parts of production, the requirement to components (for example, electric specifications and connections), characteristics of reliability and the types necessary in documentation (for example, 3D models, plans, schemes).
