2014: New version of WaterCAD

On September 16, 2014 the Bentley Systems company announced release of WaterCAD of the version of SELECTseries 5.

New opportunities of modeling in real time in the product WaterCAD of the version of SELECTseries 5 improve visual control and forecasting and also provide decision support, both for developers of models, and for operators. System builders benefit from the fact that data technology and production processes (SCADA) can be automatically imported to hydraulic modeliv quality of initial data. System operators can publish results of modeling in the existing window of system control of SCADA of utility company that helps to predict operating conditions.

The release of the new version of WaterCAD gives to users the chance of viewing data of SCADA, both in real time, and for last period, allows to compare data of SCADA with data of results of modeling, including demonstration of alarm signals directly in hydraulic model. Hi-tech visualization tools allow creators of hydraulic models to monitor changes of signals of SCADA in response to events in real time similar to the screen of the human-machine interface (HMI) that allows them to control directly a situation and to optimize decision making process.

Unlike the software capable to collect data of water consumption of different clients in a specific zone, WaterCAD software directly models demand for water supply of certain consumers in the corresponding zones. It helps creators of models to define and control more effectively zones where there is a need for increase in water supply, and, thus to use more detailed approach in satisfaction of these requirements.
