Brocade NetIron OS is the software product using functions of Brocade MLXe routers for creation of the program configured networks.
On June 10, 2015 Brocade announced the NetIron OS software product of version 5.9. As a part of this version OpenFlow technology and support of programmable architecture of readdressing of VersaScale used in routers of the Brocade MLXe series.
Using Brocade NetIron OS in combination with the Brocade Flow Optimizer application, customers can increase visibility of network traffic and simplify management of readdressing, without resorting to large-scale upgrade of the operating systems.
The open network architecture of Brocade represents the building block solution consisting of the Brocade Flow Optimizer application, the Brocade SDN controller, routers for data processing centers of Brocade MLXe, switches for campus networks of Brocade ICX.
The Hybrid Port technology developed by Brocade provides simultaneous support of traditional readdressing and OpenFlow on one port. It provides to customers soft junction to networks of new generation, adding the program configured elements to their existing networks and at the same time saving investment security.
